Questions to Ask Before You Rent Chairs and Tables

Most rental problems aren't about the chairs. They come from something nobody asked: when it arrives, who sets it up, what happens if it rains. These are the questions we'd put to any rental company before paying a deposit, with our own answers so you can see what a clear reply looks like.
What you get and what it costs
Start with what's included. A good answer names the items, delivery and pickup, and says whether setup is part of it. Ours is chairs and tables, delivery and pickup, itemized on the quote. We don't rent linens or decorations.
Delivery should depend on your address and show up as its own line. Ours starts at $29 in the local service area, with extra for stairs, difficult access, waiting time or setup. The service area page shows where we go.
Timing and setup
You'll get a window for delivery and pickup, not a minute, but it should be agreed ahead and fit your event. Give them any fixed times, like a ceremony start (FAQ on delivery times).
Who sets it up? Either answer is fine, as long as it's settled before delivery day. Our FAQ on setup explains how we handle it.
Money, and changes
Find out how big the deposit is and whether any of it comes back. Ours is 50% of the total, non-refundable, to hold the date. Then find out what happens if the date or the numbers change. Cancellations and rescheduling are confirmed in writing, with terms on your invoice or booking confirmation, and changes are agreed with us directly (FAQ).
When something goes wrong
Rain, damage and cleaning are the ones companies tend to fudge. We don't mind being asked: chairs and tables cope with a shower but not standing water or mud, so we talk it through early (FAQ on rain). You're responsible for the items from delivery to pickup. A $35 cleaning fee applies to anything returned properly dirty, and damage or loss beyond normal wear falls under the rental agreement (FAQ on damage).
Can you add chairs later? Before the event, usually, if they're free. During it, probably not, which is why we suggest a small buffer.
What other people say
Reviews you can check beat any promise. Ours are on Google, where we can't edit them, and the homepage links straight to them. Photos and clips of real deliveries are on the How it works page. When you're ready, the quote form is free and carries no obligation.
