Get your guest count right first

Rent the seating, don't buy it

Spend on one thing, not everything

Pick the one part of the event you actually care about, whether that's food, a photographer, or a specific venue, and let the rest be simple. A backyard with plain white chairs and good food reads as a thoughtful party. Trying to upgrade every category a little bit usually just spreads the budget thin without anyone noticing the difference.

Use what you already have
